Planting Date Finder publishes climate normals, hardiness zones, and planting windows drawn from the sources named on each page. By using the site you agree to these terms.

Informational use

The tools report climate normals, hardiness zones, and cited planting windows. What you plant, and when you plant it, is your decision.

Sources can change

Government and university pages are revised. The date a guide was retrieved is printed with the citation. A later revision of that guide may differ. Climate normals for 1991–2020 stay fixed until NOAA publishes the next 30-year set.

No warranty

The site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. If a station, a zone, or a cited window looks wrong, write to hello@plantingdatefinder.com with the page address and the station id or the guide URL.

Limitation

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost crops, replanting costs, or other damages arising from use of the site. Some states do not allow certain limitations, so part of this section may not apply to you.
